Overview:

This course provides information on the home ownership process. It details the entire process from determining if you are really ready to purchase a home, finding a home, negotiating the purchase, getting the loan, closing the loan and the responsibilities of homeownership. To respect the learning experience of all participants, children are not allowed at this workshop.

Workshop Notes:

Class consists of TWO sessions- August 2nd and 9th. To receive a certificate of completion you must attend both dates. By registering for the August 2nd class you are automatically enrolled in the August 9th session. This class is the hoMEworks First Time Homebuyer Class and meets Maine Housing and Rural Development requirements. You will receive your certificate of completion at the end of the second day. Payment for the class will be taken on August 2nd, at the beginning of class, and will need to be in the form of check or money order- we do not accept cash. The cost is $30 per household.
