Financial Literacy

To further our efforts to provide complete personal financial training to communities everywhere, Money Management International and its family of Consumer Credit Counseling agencies, provide a Certified Money Management Volunteer (CMMV) Program. Since its inception in 1998, over 700 community volunteers have been trained and certified in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. The CMMV Program trains individuals from non-profits, corporations, financial institutions, small business, churches, and community organizations to provide basic budgeting and consumer credit education to members of their community.

With household debt at an all time high, and the savings rate a near record low, it is our goal to provide individuals with a foundation for establishing and maintaining good financial practices. Volunteer support from local communities is vital in helping us achieve our goal. The Certified Money Management Volunteer program provides us the opportunity to offer financial education to communities everywhere.
