What we do

An integral part of our mission includes providing meaningful financial and credit education to people of all ages, in a manner that is most helpful to them. We believe that an educated consumer helps to build a stronger, more vital community. It is our hope that the education we provide will empower individuals and families to realize their dreams of financial security.

Where we have a physical presence, we conduct extensive outreach to provide community members and organizations with financial literacy information. Each year our staff members deliver hundreds of financial educational programs to community organizations, social service agencies, schools, and businesses.

We work with community organizations to create partnerships that provide opportunities to offer financial literacy training to every aspect of the local community. We develop curricula and materials covering a full range of financial management skills including borrowing basics, budgeting, goal setting, credit management, personal savings, and more.

We also offer a money management workshop for social service providers. This program teaches social service staff members ways to help their clients improve their financial skills.

We train, manage, and support a team of volunteer educators (Certified Money Management Volunteers) who assist us in providing personal financial and credit education wherever it is needed.
